Screw that noise. Paleo diet FTW.

Definitely a step in the right direction for Bduhon, but ultimately when you cook your food you lose up to 60% of vital nutrients, and a lot of the paleo diet requires cooking. Maybe that's why the cavemen aren't around anymore. :)

I eat tons of raw vegetables, so suck it.

Now when you get back on your feet, do what Arian Foster did & go to an uncooked plant based lifestyle. It doesn't just reverse cardiovascular disease, but it will arrest or reverse ALL diseases, even cancer. (Go watch "Forks Over Knives" and "Food Matters")
Just local vegetables, fruits, nuts, beans, and some grains. No dairy. No meat. No cooking or steaming (except for the beans & grains). It may sound like a drastic change, but I tend to believe open heart surgery is arguably higher on the drastic list.
Thinking I might need to try this, I've had heart problems since high school. Would be super hard on me though, I love steak.

That's dedication if I've ever seen it. Waiting to get cut open and still has time to get on TD.

Definitely a wise move healthwise. I'm pretty sure I was was pre-diabetic. I started a juice fast and within two weeks my blood pressure, sugars, cholesterol were all normal. Even a varicose vein I dealt with for 10 years disappeared. If you think of food as medicine, you'll want to provide your body the freshest nutrients available to heal itself (because the body is the best physician around).
However, juicing leaves so much waste (the leftover pulp). Get a nutribullet or a Ninja blender and utilize all the vitamins, minerals & fiber not left behind in a plain juicer's pulp, and you can consume it all.
