It was a very different experience 40 years ago. Coming from Metry the completion of I-10 was a big deal, no more snake farm, my father didn't get to stop at the Airline Motors in Laplace to get a big Bourbon and water to sip on, we got cokes and chips.

Our seat were on the last 4 in the south end zone next to the east sideline, about half way up, next to the dividing wall, the were even with the goal line. My little brother and I would run off as soon as the game started to explore the stadium, we knew every nook and cranny. When I got to 8 y/o I started watching the games, that was 1958.

I glad someone reminded me how much shorter the games were, TV adds to much time, I think in the late 60's the TV producers took control, what a mistake.
