I am just not a big fan of bands who see their most important aspect (George McConnell) pass away and the rest of the band carry on. As I type this I realize this also happened to the Allman Brothers, but they were blessed with Dickey Betts for a bit and then really came full circle drafting Warren Haynes and especially Derek Trucks. I guess my main complain is Jimmy Herring. His playing doesn't fit the band's style. Obviously he is very talented, but I don't think WSP is the right band for him.

Haha I chuckled at the George comment. It's all good brother, that's your opinion. Ill admit I kinda felt the same way when he first joined the band. I had stopped seeing the band in the George days and although jimmy was a breath of fresh air he was thrown in with only like 2 weeks to learn all the songs. He has really found his spot in the band now a days tho. He doesn't play over the band anymore and is much more cohesive. They did big big things in 2011 and with their wood tour. Wood tour was really good for them I feel. It broke the music down back to the basics and you could tell they were having a great time. I expect big things out of them this year. La playa was awesome. I wish I was still there. To each their own and I respect your opinion.
