that's the problem. even LSU doesn't know whats underground. they hit so many underground utilities trying to drive in pylons it slowed the process down. and the rain the past few months has turned the site into a slop hole....

This is the reason the Union project took so damn long. The other recent projects I know of that are more to the East and North of the Union didn't have many issues at all but the area between the Union and stadium is damn mess.

I think (but I'm not positive) they used GPR (ground penetrating radar) and I know they used an above ground laser system (total-station or equivalent) when they were doing the cost estimate. As far as I know it's the only project to use these (fairly new technologies) so they were aware of the issues before they even broke ground.

you should see it roll once the get out of the ground

Heck yeah. With 3 cranes, steel's gonna be going up quick, but then it'll seem to kinda hit a lull once the above ground concrete work gets rolling.

I'm pretty excited about this project.

i know the music building took quite a while, longer then planned

The area around the stadium is a mesh of utilities. its close proximity to the power house and most of the campus is fed by utilities coming off Nicholson add in that that section of campus has seen numerous renovations/upgrades over the years, and is one of the older section of campus. and no one know what is even underground.
