side note: why so much love for Jennings over Rettig?
Apparently, you don't read this site much, huh?

The young kiddies on here have some kind of weird fixation and fascination with so called athletic "Dual Threat" quarterbacks for some reason, despite the fact that very few teams ever win National Championships with one.

Unless you are "Once in a Blue Moon" physical freaks like Cam Newton or Tim Yebow, DTQ's rarely have much success in the SEC. Defenses are too fast.

DTQ's are very rarely competent in the passing game, so once opposing defenses stack the box, take the run away and make the DTQ actually have to read a defense in order to pass, it's all over. (See Red Devil defense against Gholson in the National Championship game)

Manziel is actually one of the few DTQ's to come along since Tebow, that is actually somewhat proficient in the passing game, but I'd bet odds that SEC DC's have him figured out and he will not be quite as effective in 2013.

So is Jennings going to be another Tebow/Manziel or a Russell Shepard clone who was a high school wonder that couldn't handle a more complicated passing offense in college? Yall think Cam Cameron is going to water down his offense because any certain quarterback "Can't learn the playbook?

BTW, anybody remember what that god awful 2008 "Mallveto Monster" LSU defense did to Appalachain State DTQ Armanti EWdwards? They totally shut him down. Isn't that hard when your QB can't throw the football.

"Once in a Blue Moon" I assume means about half the time I guess?

You realize "dual threat" SEC guys have won 3 of the last 6 hiesmans, and 2 of 5 NCGs?

Nevermind the fact that Jennings isn't even a true Dual Threat anyway. He's just awesome, and unless he's lying through his teeth on twitter, it seems like he is working his arse off since he's been on campus.

Have you seen the kids high school film? Much more of a passer than he is a runner. Id compare him to Tahj Boyd, a pocket QB who is athletic and can run the ball if neccesary... with that being said, their have been many prolific high school passers who never amounted to anything in college. Only time will tell really. What I like about him is the way he moves his head and goes through his reads, seems like a very quick decision maker.

I still think Rivers gets the nod as the #2 guy though

So much fail in one post. First off Jennings isn't a true dual threat. He can actually throw the ball accurately and only runs when needs to. Obviously you haven't watched his film. Secondly your assessment of dual threat quarterbacks is asinine. RG3, Cam, Tebow, Michael Vick, Manziel all had tremendous success as dual threat qbs. To say that you can't win with a dual threat QB is absurd.

You said win because you know that there has been at least one in the NCG since the past 10yrs.

Just From 2012-2013 RG3, Russell Wilson, Colin Kaepernick, Andrew Luck(957yds 7 TDs in 3yrs at QB). Gholson was 21-36 for 270 with 2TD(1 rush) and one INT.

Please do some research and don't just limit it to the SEC. Contrary to what you believe Cam has always been a better passer than Tebow along with dozens more.

This is code word for another black QB, but I won't bite further on that. I can tell by your post that you have never seen any of his highlights. This guy is like Bridgewater in the sense that he is not a dual threat, but he can run if need be.

So you're going to use a FCS team playing against a powerhouse team like LSU as your example? You really didn't think this through did you.
