Hank gets a pass because he is the only adult on that show that hasn't displayed any truly sociopathic/psychopathic behavior.

Hank's biggest "flaw" (if you could call it that) happened when he was bedridden for so long. He became deeply depressed and acted out with the mineral collecting. Who among us can say we would act differently when faced with the same situation?

Another thing about Hank: How many of you would do for YOUR brother-in-law what Hank did? Remember Walt's "fugue state"? Hank spent hours/days tracking down leads all for his wife's sister's husband. I'd say that's pretty damn remarkable.

Through all the shite that Hank's family and in-laws have put him through, he has also performed exemplary at his job, which had earned him a promotion by early Season 5. (I'm only about 4 episodes into season 5--so there could be info I'm missing)

Most every other adult on the show is a piece of shite.

No, not at all. It's just the outright fellatio being given to Hank and "the law" that made me

Hank has been a POS in the show as well. Walt has to die or go to jail (I'm thinking death is coming). Jesse does not.
