I think he's the best golfer whether he's up by 5 or down by 5. I just think going low on the first three days and playing fairways and greens on Sunday has always been his MO. The later in the tournament with him not in control, the more he has to press. I guess that's true for basically everyone but Tiger's one of very few people who is completely in his element carrying a 2-3 shot lead heading into sunday at a major.

yes but it is unfair to say that he is only a front runner.

Because if the field were deeper, you'd expect to fewer major wins per competitor.
