Also, clearly I know the implications a red card can have, but United didn't lose a defender. They lost an attacking player who rarely puts in defensive shifts. If they had been losing, I'd understand.

To compare, Chelsea lost their captain and defensive rock to a red card in last year's CL against Barcelona. Yet they still advanced.

If United were good enough to win, they would have advanced without Nani. Just my two cents.

Had the scoreline held, they would have advanced. What I said was they scored nothing, it was an own goal off a corner which was a mistaken call by the ref.
