The doors would've become as big or bigger icons that the dead or ABB.... They would've eventually ventured into the jam band formula as well and hell they probably would've expanded on it.
I think if the doors would've lasted long enough.... Wait, let me rephrase that..... I think if Jim Morrison would've lasted long enough they would probably be an easy number 1 in this conversation. They would've definitely gotten more into improvisation, hell they're jazz back ground damn near demanded it.
