Don't have a problem with it. I don't want to do to them like Utah did to us. Hornets mean nothing locally to me.

I think Charlotte should get the name back.

Maybe wait a year to avoid confusion, but most fans will know what is up immediately. Hornets means something to Charlotte (a nickname from the Revolutionary War) and my understanding is that they have never really liked the Bobcats name.

New Orleans got to pick a new name and Charlotte gets the old one back. It is nice to see something that is actually a win-win.

In general I think it is better for teams to just re-brand when they move, especially if the original name had some kind of special meaning for the first location.

New Orleans never gets to wear throw-backs (not counting the Bucs). We can't wear the Jazz jerseys because Utah wears them. We can't wear the 90s jerseys during 90s month because the jersey says Charlotte on them. Once we become the Pelicans, I don't expect to ever see the 2000s Hornets jerseys.
