Works hard but he's been paid very well despite sub-par performance for his position.

Scott Shanle came over during training camp in 2006 from the Cowboys in exchange for a conditional pick.

His best season as a Saints was in 2006 when he lead the team with 77 solo tackles enroute to 117 total, 4 sacks, a forced fumble, and two passes defended. During the 2007 season, Shanle started in 14 games recording 96 tackles (56 solo), a pass defense, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery and a tackle for a loss. Shanle was an important asset over the years as a WLB and special teamer. Known his sweet tribal tatto on his arm, Shanle played a vital part in the Saints quest for their first ever Super Bowl victory. He will be missed but not forgotten.
