I think Rivers got his run of substantial minutes at SG when Gordon was out, which pushes his time with EJ down the list.

Then, he's playing instead of Gordon on the back-to-backs. Then, he gets minutes at backup point, and Gordon tends to run with the starters.

Seems like circumstances more than some issue with fit.

The party line is that Gordon is a key part of our team (the hobblestone?!) and Rivers is the PG of the future . . . so they better play well together in time.

Is that really the party line? I would think that's adjusted to "a PG in the future."
