Someone else mentioned a battery switch. This is a good option but the cables are cheaper and work just as good. Plus, if you ever come across a stranded boater who needs a "jump", you can't save their day with a battery switch!

You talked me into it. I'm gonna buy a set tomorrow evening when I go to academy. Was planning on goin and stocking up on baits already and I'll add some to my list.

Earlier I told my buddy that was with me that it was a good thing it happened within trolling motor distance of the landing or we would've been up shite creek. The trolling battery was getting real weak when we made it back to the launch. We went around 2 miles with it.
