Never heard of this either.

On a side note, has anyone picked up one of the bottles with less alcohol? I thought they stopped that idea before it started. I ordered a few bottles for work and noticed they were 42% instead of the normal 45%.

Our liqueur rep told us that they in fact wouldn't be changing.

I just read that there are a few batches that were released before they decided not to do it, not sure how many, but it could be collectible.

To answer the OP question, it looks like there was a commemorative bottle made with purple wax after The Ravens won the Superbowl.In 2000. Looks like for this years win, they did purple/black wax.
