Red Beans or Bust - photos

I'm not sure I ever posted this comedy of errors. It eventually came out OK, but not really from anything I did to get it there.
This is from a few weeks back and documents problems I had with red beans and a series of mistakes that eventually came out OK.
I should have started with kidney beans and I didn't:
Here is the rest - Not sure why that grater is there because I never used it and you guys have all seen a grater:
And I decided to use the crock pot (wish I had soaked my beans but I decided to do them on a spur of the moment brain fart and didn't)
I had some smoked ham but little else. Sausage or other pork would have been nicer.
In it goes and off I go somewhere else.
Here they are a lot later - I think I only set the heat to low, because we were a long way from where I wanted to be this far into the cooking.
With little to lose, I decided to put them in the old bean pot and stick that in the oven while we went out to Sonic for a Burger and Tots. Don't say I don't treat the wife (MHNBPF) like a princess.
A few hours in the oven sealed in the bean pot does wonders as does some more seasoning.
A ready to eat photo you have already seen - I used it in my cornbread post.
Happy those red beans are gone from the pantry.
I'll do better next time.
So, did I already post this?

where did the carrots, celery and onion go? You chopped them up before transferring from the crock pot to the bean pot?
Also, can you link me to your cornbread recipe thread? I always see you post pics of your cb and it looks fantastic.

Beans look good to me. Hell, as long as they taste fine I see no problem.

By the time I made the transfer, they were very soft. You can see the onions in the first pot photo. The celery and carrots I mashed up and added, not fo rany texture, but more or less for the flavor they would add.
As Crimson saint provided above
