re: Why Did You Start Following Your Favorite Club?

I started getting interested in soccer for the 2010 World Cup. I fell in love with Landon Donovan putting the team on his back.

From that World Cup, I was also amazed with Diego Forlan and idolized Luis Suarez's handball because it was the most heads-up play I have ever seen in any sport. Also, rockchalkshittyusername and I had previously discussed the Luis Suarez scenario before it even happened, so that was cool.

By the end of the 2010-2011 club season, I tried to decide on a team. My friend and I at college always joked around about Wolverhampton for whatever reason, so I arbitrarily decided to follow them. I was overjoyed when they stayed up on Survival Sunday at the end of the season, and I was hooked. They also had a surprisingly impressive history.

I knew they would never let me down.

Now, they are in the relegation zone of the championship. frick.

Also, I like Real Madrid because Cristiano Ronaldo and Mesut Ozil are my favorite non-American players.
