As long as they use the BP and other categories as a marketing tool, things like this will happen every year.


This is nonsensical. Argo won the Golden Globe, PGA, and Critic's Choice awards. It went up against Lincoln which is a film centered on a man who is widely considered the greatest president ever. Politics and such didn't play into the win. Argo was spectacular. The only movie that I thought was in the same ballpark was ZDT, and frankly, that movie dragged a bit. Quit with the hate on Ben Affleck.

No. It went up against many films, including one very flawed adaptation of a popular president. There were many others. The real test is whether or not we'll remember Argo as well as its competitors.

It's Shakespeare in Love at best, a sick joke about the effect of pop media on average opinion at worst. Either way, forgettable.

We might disagree on some things, but well said.
