Laurence Jones of Monroe (La.) Neville checks in at No. 25 in the Rivals100.

I dont have issue with it. Saban did resurrect the program and start the run here. He deserves credit for that, regardless of how much you hate him
He deserves credit for what happened when he was here, that's it. He's been gone for 8 years. He deserves no credit for what has happened since he left really but especially for what is going on now. sorry programs don't run on auto pilot, many a program has gone in the tank after a great left. turning the program around is not a permanent condition.
ETA: If the program fell off, as many predicted when Saban left and again after his recruits where gone, all the blame would go to Miles. He derserves credit for the success he's had.

Great read thanks op.I think Miles and Co.are going to clean up and I can only imagine the swag the defensive will have with the likes of Willis, Jones, Young, Paris, and etc

Sounds very promising, but a disastrous 2013 season can change things fast. Fortunately, I don't see that happening. Robinson saying Bama and LSU are "the same schools" is a good sign because if those are equal in his mind, you would think he would stay in state. Good news about Jones too, although I do get the feeling he will take his time.
Edit: I just noticed this was an old bumped post. Didn't see it before.

Depends on what you mean by disastrous, Texas went 5-7 in 2010 and still signed the #3 class on Rivals in 2011. LSU went 7-5 in 2008 and signed the #2 class the next year. 1 season records do not kill recruiting efforts.

Yea I think one bad season can paradoxically help recruiting for an established program because recruits perceive it as an opportunity for early playing time. It's when you get the back to back flops that recruiting starts to suffer. I think with the early work LSU has put in with all of these kids we'll be in good position regardless of how the season unfolds. That being said, showing some signs of life on the offensive side with Cam Cameron would help recruiting in a big big way.

Recruits view these things differently than fans, so they are not concerned with 1 season results. Recruits generally think if they were on the team, then the team would have done better anyway.
Despite the offense we still landed 2 good QB prospects, however a better O can only help QB recruiting going forward.
