Unfortunately I'm about a 4 on social issues and an 8 on economy defense and a 5 on environment...
All it really means is I never like a candidate but vote republican because I consider the economy more important
Anyhow, sidebar asside back to soccer

Yes I do but I just don't like him or Stewart because of their shows and how many people do watch their shows and take them serious as if it were REAL reporting.
There are some people that do this, but I think the vast majority of Stewart and Colbert's viewership watches it for entertainment purposes. I would even estimate that half of the Daily Show (and a good bit of Colbert) is just spoofing of other cable news outlets for their ridiculous content. If I see Colbert and Stewart discussing a news story of which I'm uninformed, I'll usually go to an online source to research more into it.
Stewart and Colbert are exceptionally gifted comedians, and both fully realize their lowly place in the political spectrum. At the height of the Glenn Beck fear mongering circa 2010, Stewart even joked about how sad it was that more people were tuning into his comedy show for "reasoned" discussion.

Thank you sir.
But seriously, I'm not wasting my vote on a third party candidate.

You live in a state that pretty much is going to vote Republican every election, right? Not a waste at all.

I don't really like going into politics (especially on a message board!) but yalls beliefs seem to have a lot in common with libertarianism.
Libertarians are essentially for small government and tend to weigh economic issues as the governments main purpose. This means economically (the key issue for me as well) that the scope of government should be limited and should provide basic services and minimal regulation of markets and collect taxes to pay for those services. On the social issue side, government essentially should not have a role in regulating social issues and thusly they tend to have more in common with the left on social issues, although the reasoning is a bit different at times. Obviously that is a very simplified explanation, but if the above at all describes your personal political beliefs I would reccomend doing a bit of research into it.
Libertarians in general tend to side with the right, Ron and Rand Paul are essentially libertarian in their beliefs, although they both represent the republic party in congress.

The idea of a libertarian society is great on paper. I agree with many of the social tenants of the Libertarian party. Having unlimited freedom sounds wonderful, but I feel as though human history has proven that we can't handle unlimited liberties.
It's like the polar opposite of communism in terms of its philosophy on governance, but similar in its very overly idealistic view of human nature.
The fundamental Enlightenment idea of government stems from the fact that we give up some of our liberties in return for protection in self-government. Some libertarians believe that the only protection the government should give to its is to defend our states' borders.
There's way too much stock put in protecting personal property in libertarian doctrines, and also way too much Social Darwinism.

Colbert did nail that Obama's imaginary son would throw like an imaginary girl

I've never really assigned myself a label, but if I had to I know I would probably be closer to libertarian than anything else. I wish we didn't have a two party system.

I know for myself I'm just wierd and probably wouldn't really fit into any party per se.
THE ECONOMY IS PRIORITY #1
I'm against abortion, but do feel that women should have thier choice though.
Basically anything that you can do that harms only you and really no one else should not be regulated or punished i.e. if I smoke pot who am I hurting but myself, If I want to drink a 2 liter coke and eat 10 mcdonalds burgers then frick it I can it hurts me and only me I don't need big brother telling me I can't do that because it's not good for me ... hell I know that I don't need them telling me I still chose to do so ... it's my choice.
If I work hard all day for myself and my family why do I have to take care of people that are to lazy to do the same ... First let me say I have no issue helping those that are truly in need but the ones that do nothing and choose to cheat the system to draw welfare or whatever benefits disgust me. And no thats not a racial issue I personally speaking of the people I see in north Mississippi and they are mostly white.
I like us being able to have all the guns and type of guns you like but I also believe it should be one of the heaviest regulated things in this country and very hard to obtain as well.
Oh I am against universal healthcare/obamacare but I do believe some government action is needed to help with this issue i.e. open insurance borders and allow people to shop nation wide ... basically allow the free market to work and stop being a bitch big brother the government is.
Finally I'm in huge support of our millitary and armed forces and that, hell NASA as well, should always be a priority for the american government and its peoples.
I don't I just with the founding father that saw that this federalist way of the central government dictating so much was not the right way to go and I am for states rights more
So to sum this up more I don't know if I truly can be classified and I am sure many of you are in the same boat but I do know my main issue which is the economy and with that as #1 I know I'll always lean right the question is just how much so.
ETA: I KNOW TL;DR

Only issue is here, not even really an issue as I'm sure you don't mean 100% free to smoke it whenever wherever, but it should definitely be regulated like alcohol with age and driving restrictions.
