Put down a seeper hose. Get one of those cheap timers from walmart and let it water them every morning during the heat of the summer. I have to put up tin plates to scare away the birds and squirrels and seven dust them every once in a while. Other than that, that is all I have to do. I usually plant 6 plants and have plenty to give away. I will plant alot more this year because I want to can some.

Yeah, pick up a can of this at Lowe's or a feedstore. You'll get aphids or other bugs at some point.

I'll even pre dust mine when they go to blooming.

For the record, you don't wanna pick and eat any a few days after you dust. I think the can says 2 weeks.
