Truth. And this story was ripe for a great Disney adaptation.

Execution was terrible though.

I don't think it was terrible, but it certainly pails in comparison to basically all of Disney's other films that decade. It's sort of a pre-Dreamworks film and is somewhat a prototype for it. If they were going to do a ridiculous version of history/mythology, they should have just gone all out and done what "The Emperor's New Groove" did.

Should I even waste my time watching Hercules then? I usually skip movies that I don't think I'd like, and that's definitely one of them.

Here is the list that I plan to watch (that I've not seen before):

Pocahontas
Hunchback
Hercules
Mulan
Tarzan
Emperor's New Groove
Lilo & Stitch

I don't really expect to "love" any of them, but I'm pumped about Hunchback, Tarzan, and Emperor's. I'm meh on Pocahontas and Mulan. I don't think I'll enjoy Hercules or Lilo & Stitch too much.

Also, I've never seen the Black Cauldron, but am willing to let Freaux try to talk me into it.
