This is one of the reasons why I think this can happen. If he loved LA so much how come he hasn't signed for max deal yet. Cause we all know LA can offer him the most money.

Because with the new CBA signing an extension doesn't yield as much money was becoming a free agent and signing a new deal then. Just like DWill did and Dwight will do.

Well yeah, the Knicks will only be able to offer CP3 like $3m if they do this deal. People don't realize they're paying Novak, Camby, Kidd, and Felton a combined 13m for the next few seasons. That plus Chandler and Melo is 47m. Which would only give them like 12-13m for CP3. And that doesn't include whatever contracts they'd take back from ATL or JR Smith's 3m player option.
The Knicks will not be able to sign Chris Paul as a free agent. Let's stop this speculation right now.
