The reason I'm concerned is because Ryan Perrilloux is shopping for an Emergency QB job. This kid is a physical freak. Say what you want but he's also straightened up and matured a ton.

Yet guys like Joe-freaking-Webb started for injured starting QB's in the playoffs.

NFL GM's aren't exactly great talent evaluators at the QB position outside of the bonus-baby types. If they can't see that Perrilloux could perform just as-if not far more-adequately than that waste of space Minnesota put on the field against the Packers, then I hold little hope for J-Rock.

NFL offenses are extremely complicated. Maybe Joe Webb is 10x smarter than Perrilloux? It wouldn't be that hard to do...

It's just mind boggling that some of these kids with so much natural talent can just let it go to waste. For his sake I hope he makes it back, but at 308 Lbs I think losing the weight would be an indicator that he's truly serious about coming back.

Did you see what the Vikes did against them? Crowton ran the same offense with RP in 2007 against Middle Tennessee & Tennessee.

RP's been running the zone-read and short-side option keeper since he was in HS. Beyond that, he's got a cannon for an arm and as a backup was more successful than Webb ever was at the major college level.

They were running an extremely watered down offense for Webb. Do that with RP and you can actually be a threat to run it or throw it. Especially with AD behind him.
