Have we seen the last of the QB isolation chamber?

Could have been one of the worst ideas in the history of paid coaching.

That little area on the sideline where Mett goes to sit by himself and nobody else is allowed to talk to him.
Do you watch our games?

That was as bad if not worse that the Mettstache.

You talking about the little space tucked away where Met sits? If so, even though it is close to the receivers, I don't like it. Would be different if there was some learning or coaching going on. Nope...just sitting looking at the backs of the players on the sideline.

That was made to keep media coverage off of him. The players were allowed to talk to him anytime they wanted to. Stephen Rivers was constantly going over there. Not really a bad idea considering that focus was a big issue for Mett during the first half of the season. Do YOU pay attention to our games?

Media doesn't have access to players during a game.

Well then it was even worse idea. ESPN talked about in each of our first five games. And what does that mean anyway ... Keep the media coverage off of him??? He's the starting QB at fricking LSU. You can't "hide" him!

The media said the reason that it was created was to keep Mett from worrying about what was going on behind him such as cameras zooming in on him and the people nearby. It was said on TV during a game.

You don't think that different people respond differently to different things? I've known of people who have been in combat and tell me that they were are able to keep cool under fire but cannot stand in front of a group of people and give a power point presentation.

Yes, in the stadium. I guess that's why I still have no idea what this isolation chamber is.

Yeah, it was an isolation chamber, no matter how you spin it. If you quarterback is that neurotic then you need to sit him. It was a horrible idea.
Take a page from Sean Payton: Brees hits the bench and starts looking at photos of what the defense just did, talking on the phone, talking to his line and receivers, and learning and adjusting throughout the game. Mett should do the same.

I agree. Was, is a stupid idea that makes no sense. Big boy QB in big time college football hidden behind a shroud like Emily fricking Dickenson.

Cam, if Balt is any indication, will be on the sidelines, so, I say yes. No more iso chamber.

Lets not compare Mett to Drew Brees. I never noticed this done to JJ/Lee so I assume this is a special case for Mett. It seems like every time media talks about Mett being at LSU, they bring up how he got kicked out of UGA because of sexual battery. I figure that has to have some kind of effect on a young man's self-conscience knowing that that's how some people view him. Not every QB can be as suave as Cam Newton.

most NFL QBs do that and it wasn't really a comparison to drew brees

I don't recall seeing the isolation set-up there after the first half of the season. I think it was just a temporary thing to keep pressure off of him.

yes this is gone. thank god. dont know what krags was thinking with that.. well i do, but dont know why he thought it would change anything
