GCB selects WR Kevin Spears (LSU)

I've got to say, I really have a soft spot for this guy. Not only is going to LSU, but one of my really good friends coached him at HC. I loved his film whenever my buddy showed it me because the kid can flat play. He reminds me of Marques Colston, in that, he uses his body to his advantage and catches everything away from his body. I think the sky is the limit for this kid and I've been targeting him for the last four rounds. With all of the LSU guys coming off the board, I didn't want to wait any longer to take him.

I think he's the next Brandon LaFell. (Or has the potential to be) Redshirt, two years of role playing, a year as a go to player, then a final year as "the guy". He just needs to put in the work and stay healthy.

GCB selects OT Dan Skipper (Arkansas)

At 6'10, he will probably be the largest human selected in this draft. With a tremendous wingspan and a nasty attitude, this kid is a perfect fit for what Bret Beliema is trying to do in Fayetteville. His offer sheet included Ohio State, Michigan, Ole Miss, Tennessee, Oklahoma, and Florida State. Normally, I'd worry about a kid this tall with regard to his pad level, but in his film he absolutely buries everyone in front of him regardless if they are a DE, LB, or DB. He reminds me a lot of former Colorado Buffalo and current Patriot LT Nate Solder.
