So for 2014, LSU pulls in 4 guys in the secondary rated at 5-stars???

In the secondary alone!!??!!?? I guess it depends on if we reel in the guys I am thinking of, with them remaining highly rated by the recruiting services:
1) Adoree Jackson - 5-star on Rivals
2) Tony Brown - 5-star on Rivals
3) Ed Paris - #10 player overall on 247
4) Hootie Jones - #22 player overall on 247
Okay, perhaps not likely, because so many things can occur over the next 12 months. But certainly not out of the realm of possibility.

Id say its more likely than it is unlikely

I think we finish #1 next year!

Voorhies could play DB, we've already got Hardeman committed and we'll probably take Brandon Simmons from TX

I can honestly see us getting Brown and Paris.....it will be a battle for Hootie and you never know what's going to happen over the next yr with Adoree....that would be sweet to get all 4....but let's not forget about Hardeman, Voorhies, and Simmons either

Voorhies stated a couple of months ago that LSU plans on him playing WR (and that is also the position he also most wants to play). Obviously, that can change, but with the DB studs we likely have coming - there is really no reason to move him to safety.

This.
Brown - Just got his sister to run track here and have so many other factors working for us that I don't see him going anywhere else.
Paris - Committing in a little over a month and has pretty much been all LSU for some time now. Getting Simmons would be a nice touch also.
Adoree - Unless he gets the itch to stay home, I can't see us not getting him. Calls us his dream school, said it was his dream offer and it's basically us against the dumpster fire USC right now.
Hootie - I think a lot of credit should be given to Adam Henry. Henry came on this staff and made John Diarse a priority. I don't think Diarse lets his current teammate leave the state, and he loves his momma too

It will be a wild year I promise you. If we can manage to pull 10 or 11 wins this year, we will challenge for the top spot.
But, if our season turns out like a dud (don't think it will), this dream class could fall apart.
I believe this (the one signed today) to be the most important recruiting class for LSU football in my lifetime. This years success on the field is vitally important for many reasons.

Probably the best DB class ever assembled.

Would have no problem with that. Kid is electric with the ball in his hands. I just want to hold onto him and make sure those whiny dogs in Starksville and the Freeze transactions get him to stay in Mississipi

Couldn't have said it any better myself.
If we miss on adoore (the one I can see happening the best out of all OOS) I think we go to the in state guys

Don't get your hopes up for all those guys, FWIW
3 of them are likely to happen
2 of them are worst case, IMO

Apparently his parents work in Louisiana. He lives in SW Mississippi and is closer to Baton Rouge than any of the major MISS schools.

Anyone notice how we are restacking the Defense one position at a time....2012 Linebacker haul....2013 Defensive line haul....2014 defensive back haul...im loving this

I so this will be the greatest defense anyone has ever seen. Seriously.
A secondary of basically nothing but 5*'s. the dline we pulled in this year and the lbs from this and last... Holy frick.

Basically what I was thinking.
It's kind of smart bc instead of filling the entire defense every year, we make sure to have the luxury to fill the positions. If one guy doesn't quote pan out. No big deal

Henry
I think in this day in age, not enough time is spent "intelligently" recruiting (if you will) and this qualifies as such.
Very happy to see the staff doing this in particular, but also doing some other things like this for this year's class
to the staff
