Based on this definition:
quote:

Centered on commonly available modern foods, the "contemporary" Paleolithic diet consists mainly of fish, grass-fed pasture raised meats, eggs, vegetables, fruit, fungi, roots, and nuts, and excludes grains, legumes, dairy products, potatoes, refined salt, refined sugar, and processed oils.[

I am mostly Paleo. I exclude grains, legumes, potatoes, refined salt and sugar. BUT I do include cheese and olive oil. Lost 20 pounds from Jan-July of last year. I just started back this January and I am including exercise this time around. Quitting bread, pasta and sweets was hard at first, but now I am kinda disgusted looking at it if it's in front of me. My only weakness that I still crave is chocolate, but I found some atkins bars that are 3 carbs and pretty damn good. I like not looking all belly bloated from carbs too.
