If you have actually been in the military, especially Marine Corps, then this is a terrible movie. For everyone else its probably somewhat entertaining.

I'm not a Marine, but I'm a 25 year vet. I can't say I love the movie, but certainly balk at it being "worst" movie. I think the movie tried to do too much. It probably would have been better as more of a straight comedy. Certainly Clint and Mario didn't phone their performances in and the movie has a number of memorable scenes. It is dated because it was made (and set) in the period between the Vietnam War and our 20+ year adventure in picturesque SW Asia.

Certainly not a bad movie, but they're supposed to be in a recon bn ffs...

I'm a Marine and I love this movie. I don't take myself or movies that seriously though. Quotes everywhere in this movie.
