Thanks, I agree. Average MLS attendance is higher than the average NBA attendance. A lot is based on affordability of tickets for sure. ESPN is really beginning to push and you know why? In the male demographic of ages 14-24 professional soccer is second only to the NFL in popularity.

Bingo.
It's #5 and rising. It will probably pass hockey in the near future. It will never be bigger in America than the big three, but I could see it getting up there with them. Just look at how much it's grown in the last decade.
It's the world's game, and the more and more we become globalized, the more popular it will become in America.

Yep. Let's also remember that MLS is one of the youngest pro leagues on the planet, and it's already beating the NBA in average attendance.
It was a gimmick for the WC, then it became an elephant graveyard. Now it's starting to become a feeder league for the world. Growth is a slow and steady process, but it is being made.
