Reed sr year was when Saban first came in
The U was an easy choice over LSU at that time.
Plus the U was taking care of players as well.
Jones would have been lucky to get recruited by SWAC schools. Had speed and about all he would have done at LSU would have been special teams.
Another Saban era recruit and he preferred the taller, blocking WR's.

What? Saban came in 2000..Reed was already an upper classman at Miami...

Reed was at Miami from 97 to 02
