a general consensus and agreement on a new logo. a logo winning by 2-4 votes is greater than 50%, but not a consensus. About half of the people don't like the logo. By contrast, the Gaming Board logo was liked by over 90% of those who voted. Perhaps a better idea has not been submitted yet that would get more people in agreement.

Also, this is not the first time this has been tried on the Movie/TV Board. and, both times it has turned into a turd sandwich. Last time, the idea was tabled.

I feel like the gaming board is a little more insular than this one. So they weren't getting as many random interlopers voting on a new design as this board got.

I think that is one of the underlying issues as well. Some people are upset that so many people that never post on this board got to decide how we rebrand it. Some are doubly upset because their favorite didn't win and they didn't like randoms interfering with the process.

I don't know what the solution is. I liked both logos. I like the current color scheme.

This is the definition of overcomplicating things.

That being said, I wish the presidental election worked like this.

Seriously though, Project is right. The m/tv board has a lot more traffic, vocal and non, and I doubt we'll ever see a vast majority consensus.

I'm of the opinion that, while the "table it and wait until we find the perfect logo" is a nice theory, it has clearly not worked out that well. So why not go with these two and move forward? Or do we need to vote on whether the logo needs to be changed at all if these are the two options?
