I know plenty of people that will argue with you about a 19 not being a CCW.
But being comfortable is part of it and if you can't handle a Glock 19, by all means get a mouse gun.

If I'm suited up I carry a 1911, casual I usually go with the P238

One of my good friends carries a glock 23 24/7/365.

Yep. With a good holster and belt, it is easily doable.

I already have a Glock 22 that I shoot the .40 at the range and drop a .357 sig barrel in there when I'm keeping it in my truck.
But I want a smaller gun for a CCW.

My dad likes his LCP and carries it everywhere. He's not really a holster guy so it's great at a pocket pistol. It's true that the trigger pull is terrible but the price is right at $289.
I love my XDs .45 and would recommend that for an EDC but it is quite a bit pricier at around $600.

I like my LCP as a pocket pistol. When I can carry something bigger, it's my XDm40 compact. If they existed back then, I would have gotten an XDs45.
You can't compare pocket pistols to compact. It's apples and oranges. That said, the LCP is the best .380 pocket pistol out there.

What is your limit?
For daily CCW probably $400-450.
Plan to buy a Kimber and Sig at some point but they will be for fun/home defense not CCW I would imagine.

Well said. For what I want, this gun is perfect. Only other gun I'm aware of that is similar to Ruger LCP is the Walther PPK and I'm not going to pay $500-600 for a name.
I want to able to throw on shorts and flip-flops in the summer and run to the grocery store and throw my pistol in my pocket.
Not looking to have to put on pants, certain types of shirt, etc.
I know that there will be times I won't carry if that's the option and that defeats the purpose of a CCW in my eyes.
Just my opinion.

I got one brand new for $300 with a box of bullets to sale.

thats the 238, the 938 fits just like that though

That's a good price. I would buy it. I would rather the keltec though

.380 is the wrong caliber
However, if I were shopping for a .380, I would no doubt do the A/B between a Walther PPK (my favorite gun EVER, and I shouldn't have sold it), or the LCP and probably buy the LCP if I didn't hate the trigger.
