I dont think we are going to see people dump these weapons for a loss, at least not a lot of them, because I think people also realize that all it takes is one more nutjob to start this shite all over again

I'm hoping that ammo manufacturers are going to ramp up their production capacity to some extent. One thing about all of these new gunowners is that they are going to want to shoot.
Also, I think professional training is going to become increasingly popular, and for that, much ammo is needed.
In other words, I think that for many reasons the demand curve for ammo has been permanently shifted outward, absent any legislation that makes it prohibitively expensive to shoot, and I would expect ammo makers to respond to that.
