He only ever plays on the left for Germany. They used to play him up top with Miro when he was bursting onto the scene but he doesn't cut it as an out and out striker. He's not a bad player, just predictable.

Just that for Arsenal he is getting tons of assists playing out left, since he can push it endline and hit a cross with his left. But if he were to shoot, like he is often tempted to do, he could play on the right and cut back onto his stronger foot.
