Why not just buy a sack of masa from WallyWorld?
I have a three pound sack that I've used for three years. Keep it sealed in a screw top canister.
I love it in chili. Makes nice gravy and there is a flavor I can't get without it.

Because I don't want a 3 lb bag of something I don't use too often hanging around. Sounds silly and I guess I could just throw a lot of away, but there are starving children in China according to Mr. Nap, you know.
