Ace Midnight is (IMO) one of the very few people on this board (in addition to Josey W.) who posts informed opinions.
I also don't recommedn the Beretta 92. I have one (owned it for years). And it's very reliable. But very few people will devote the time (and ammo) needed to master the DA/SA trigger.
Life (and shooting) is a lot simpler with a gun that has a consistent trigger ---- like the M&P, Glock, SIG (with the DAK trigger) and HK (with the LEM trigger).
