Didn't read entire thread, but logo is very busy looking IMO..

Why do so many NBA logos have a basketball in them? You don't see this in the NFL (Jets only) or MLB... A lot of the logos would look better without it if you ask me

Not true. In the MLB many teams have "roundel" or round logos, and HALF of them have baseballs or bats or something baseball related in the logo itself. Look:

Round or roundel logos:

Rangers
Mariners
A's
Yankees
Twins
Cubs
BlueJays (their new logo... not shown here)
Astros (their new logo... not shown here)
Mets

Teams with baseball references (a baseball, a diamond, a bat, etc.):

Yankees
Cardinals
Pirates
Brewers
Giants
Nationals
Dodgers
Mets
Padres
Rockies
Rangers
Mariners
Phillies
Blue Jays
Twins
Rays

So you were way off. Literally half of the teams have baseball references in their logos.

And you were a little off with the NFL, too. 5 teams have football references:

Jets
Bucs (there is a football on the flag)
Raiders (the guy is wearing a helmet)
Dolphins (the dolphin is wearing a helmet)
Browns (their logo is a football helmet)
