Exactly. Tiger missed fairways on 5 of first 6 holes this afternoon and went -3. I'd be willing to bet that there were guys that hit all fairways or at least more than Tiger and scored worse.

Do you play golf? There is a dramatic difference hitting an iron shot from the rough as opposed to the fairway. When they hit it close from the rough, it's why they're pros. But hitting fairways greatly increases the chances of winning.
Tiger would not have a big lead if he hadn't been hitting fairways the first three rounds.
