Explain to me how that is dumb? It's an absolutely useless stat to lead on Tour. Hitting fairways is the most overrated thing in the whole sport, especially when the first cut is a missed fairway. It's a power game now, which was why they tried to change the grooves, but that changed nothing. You hit it hard, then go find it.
