I've heard great praises for College Hoops 2k for how deep in depth it goes. Also heard some good things about a few of the MLB Games.

I've never played College Hoops but I have heard good things about it. Which is surprising because NBA 2K sucks after 2-3 seasons. Sim does stupid shite and it is way too easy to get high draft picks.
Haven't played Madden in years, but I thought it was decent. NCAA is pretty good imo. The Show probably has the best of games that I have played in the last 3 years. MVP Baseball 2005 is still the best ever.

College Hoops 2K (underclassmen recruiting, total schedule control, weekly highlight show, Selection Sunday, Midnight Madness, AAU recruiting, the first and best Coaching Carousel, lifetime contracts)
MLB The Show (don't really like baseball, but this is fun...total roster control, stadium upgrades, finances, promotions, smart trade engine)
NCAA Football (coordinators, Coaching Carousel, recruiting is finally really fun...still missing PS2/Xbox features like neutral site games and player discipline issues)

I wish an American sports game (preferably college football or basketball) had a dynasty mode half as in-depth as Football Manager.
