Maybe they could teach the DE not to crash on the RB so easily on every option play

You're absolutely right, but it is incredibly difficult to get a defensive end to "stay at home" against a read opt team when he's used to squeezing on all down blocks, something he's been doing since high school.
It's a habit for defensive ends to be aggressive based on their natural read and react and squeeze down the line, toward the RB

Defensive ends should just knock the shite out of the quarterback on every option play just like in high school. 5 or 6 clean hits into the game on a teams 100 Million dollar guy will make them rethink this play calling.
