That's ok we get johngruden as our offensive coach he wouldn't have to do any thing just sit on sideline and drool that he has drew Bree's

I don't think he's ready to be "the guy."
then he never will be. however, he probably thinks he is, and here is his opportunity to show that HE is the reason an offense is great, not the HC (Paeyton). If I were him, I'd take it. But hey, I've always liked challenges and the opportunity to prove I'm the best. I'd be surprised if he stays here.
Regardless, Paeyton is going to be back, and we shouldn't see any drop off for the offense.
ETA: I just saw someone posted the follwing.... "#Saints OC Pete Carmichael expected to turn down interview requests from #Jaguars, #Eagles
Guess I was wrong... or he pulls a Chip Kelley

Thank God. If we had to wait for SP to comeback to replace both our OC and OL coach we'd be screwed.

Saints OC Pete Carmichael will turn down requests to interview for the offensive coordinator jobs of the Jaguars and Eagles.
Carmichael is a coaching free agent, so the Eagles and Jaguars technically didn't need the Saints' permission to interview him. Although overshadowed by coach Sean Payton, Carmichael has done a sterling job of calling plays for Drew Brees over the past year and a half. Rather than developing a quarterback in Philadelphia or Jacksonville, Carmichael will resume his "excellent working relationship" with Payton and Brees.
Uh oh. Rotoworld changing their tune now. Dammit Chad.

I just assumed that his contract didn't actually end until the season did... A la after the SB, and so they needed permission prior to that point.
