Whole lot of difference between a pack of coyotes that regularly kill several fawns and a solitary bobcat that may get a chance to kill one before they get old enough to escape him.
Being on our own leased property then him killing one fawn is enough for me to blow him away. If I was on public land I would have had no problem watching him prowl around.

ETA: Anyways, who would mount him?

Anyone have a bobcat mount that really likes it or is it not that big of a deal?

We shoot them on site, but we have a shite load of them. They take a serious toll on the quail population more than anything down at our place. I have one mounted with a blue quail in its mouth, its pretty cool IMO. Shot this one not too long ago....don't think he is a mounter though

I shot one two years ago and had the hide tanned. Looks cool on the wall at the camp. Just a suggestion.

I think it was about $100. Dropped the whole frozen cat at the taxidermist.

Good lord what did you shoot the second one with, a .50 BMG? And most definitely mount the first cat. It's a purdy one!

That is a pretty nice tom if you froze him on the carcass he would probably bring you about $45 looking at the belly fur. Nice kill and if you didnt want the money for the fur why not mount him? He is pretty large for down south

Yeah, you have a point. FWIW, I like seeing them when I'm in the woods too.

Me, too. But that's just me. FWIW, I also hate coconut.
