I have actually had that same thought - are we attracting and driving more of the 'one and done' mindset? Or maybe all players are basically in that mode if they are fortunate enough to be that good?
If we are, that is probably great for raw talent, but has its problems with consistency. Less predictable results, more extreme ups and downs with more mistakes, but flashes of brilliance and some superstars for sure.
While I would selfishly love to see all college players stay at least 4 years, I get why many of them take their chance to get paid at the first opportunity. Would be an interesting dynamic if college football (or basketball) could legally pay their players a salary!
