They went ahead of Hosmer, rizzo, goldschmidt, kipnis, lawrie, Carlos Santana etc. those guys have at least proven to be good MLB guys over the course of a year
It may be their pending SS eligibility that has them being picked higher

Was it a keeper draft? Obviously I like them, but in a draft from scratch i wouldn't be picking those guys up in the 4th.
