Why are fans of other schools, specifically Alabama, able to troll on the Rant

This thread was created at 11:54 PM. As of this posting, I see not a single thread on the first page of the tiger rant that was started by an Alabama fan, trolling or otherwise.
So what are you talking about?

BamaScoop still drops in on the rant to talk shite even after being banned for it. He doesn't start threads on the rant anymore but talks plenty of noise in threads.

Several posts in this thread, toward the end. Just seems odd that they can get away with this when we aren't even allowed to post at all in their forum, AFAIK.

1. Eventually, the team boards will be opened to all users. They are simply being established by their own fans for now, or else they would never succeed. Kind of like how the Tiger Rant was originally populated by only LSU fans when it was established, what, 9 years ago?
2. Users are added manually. Every single poster on the other 13 team boards was individually approved and added. This would take WAY WAY WAY too long for the LSU board, considering they have many TIMES more fans on this site than all other fans COMBINED.
3. Alabama fans still get trolled by other fans, on the SECr, the MSB, the OT, etc. It's not as if they are protected and only LSU fans are exposed.
FWIW, I don't post on the tiger rant, and have no interest in doing so. And I would be okay with the Bama board being open to LSU and other fans.
I'm just letting you know why the Tiger Rant is not restricted, but the Bama board is (as well as all the other team boards). There's actually good reason for it.

I can't fathom why anyone would want fans of other teams restricted from the Tiger Rant. It flies in the face of the entire history and raison d'être for this whole website.

I miss the time when the Rant was the only place posters of all teams could post

I'm not against it, I just don't like double standards. I know the explanation why other schools have a "safe area," for their fans, but are still able to troll the Rant. I don't like it or agree with it, but I understand it.

Interesting way to frame the question then.
Why not start a thread asking how long the admins will continue to coddle other fanbases within the safety of their startup incubators?

If LSU fans are allowed to troll the rant, then why not Alabama fans?
At least the Alabama fans unite ranters in their hatred.

You might think that its all perks for Bama fans, but its not. Heavy is the head that wears the crown.

i believe it's "heavy lies the head"

Technically, I believe it is "uneasy lies the head", but I pulled a Lester Freamon since I was too lazy to Google.
Most people probably think the quote is originally from "The Wire" anyway.
