re: .30-.30 Poor Expansion

I threw those hornady lever bullets in trash! I lost two does with my 45-70 shot both at 30-40 yards. Blood everywhere but never found both deer "swapped to federal hollow points" then i had the hornady for my 30-30 shot 8 point at 50 yds and ended up trailing that deer for 3 hrs. Found it alive, shot again and it jumped and ran another 70 yards! Neither bullet passed through! Will never use again! Went and bought winchester power point hollows for it!
