Let's also just try to sweep under the rug that these guys brought baseball back for better or worse. The homerun races were great TV. To completely ignore that is wrong.

Very true. Tons TV sets were tuned into at-bats by Sosa, McGwire and Bonds when it came down near the end of the season and they were jumping each other every other day.

These idiot baseball writers and their sanctimonious hypocrisy have made the HOF like some b.s. high school clique. The gatekeepers to the hall are guys like Rob Parker.
