Amber has been pretty solid lately also. The top 4 girls are good. I agree Angie hasn't held up as we thought she would, but she's going to get a record contract, regardless. I was shocked that only one judge put Candice in the top 3. I think she's easily top 3 and I like her better than Angie.

Laz making the top 3 pretty much sealed the deal that they weren't going to save Burnell because they don't want a talented girl to get screwed because Laz is hanging in the top 3. That threw off everything. Of course, Nicki may never vote for a save.

Thinking more about it, the fact that Laz made the top 3 might actually increase the viewers because that was a pretty stunning turn of events when most expected him to go. AI might just be happy about it since the ratings sucked so badly last week. I haven't looked to see if they improved this week.

ETA: Just looked. Ratings dropped another 3% this week from last, so they have broken their record for low ratings two weeks in a row. It will be interesting to see if the Laz deal makes or breaks them, though the AI ratings traditionally go up as the season comes to a close.
