He's the best college coach I've ever seen personally.
His schtick doesn't work in the nfl, but is right on line for college.
He shite doesn't work in the pros because a draft prevents him from getting the best players in the pros. When are people gonna realize this? Its not about his system not working in the pros. He runs a pro still system in college.
Fact is when the player talent level is spread across the board he's just another coach.

He's not a legendary strategist by any means, he wins by lining up with his guys and beating yours. He's a better coach 352 days out of the year though, and the majority of the time that covers any game day deficiencies he might have.

He coached in the NFL for 2 years, and he wasn't that bad at it. Some of you act like he coached there for 5 years and was absolutely terrible.

When Saban was at Miami, he took over a team that went 4-12 in '04 and took them to 9-7 in '05. He went 6-10 in '06 but ended the year on a pretty nice hot streak. The next year, with Saban at Alabama, Miami went 1-15. He wasn't that bad of an NFL coach. Had he been allowed to keep Drew Brees, he would more than likely still be at Miami.

Do you have any idea how complex his defenses are?
